It was about six years ago when I bought my first extended warranty for an almost new car purchased at a dealership. At the time I didn’t know for sure if buying the extended warranty was a good idea, but since the manufacturers warranty was nearly up, I decided to do it. The warranty was not sold by Carchex, but in the long run I was happy I had it since the car developed electrical problems and the expense was covered. Before purchasing an extended warranty for your car you would be wise to compare the warranties offered on the Carchex site. The company is rated A+ by the BBB and can help you find the extended warranty best suited to your particular situation.

Bmw Body Kits Created to Cater for the Tastes of Different People

Posted by admin on December 25, 2011

BMW cars are great looking vehicles that speak of wealth, prestige and status. So how can you improve on these symbols of wealth with the use of BMW body kits? Well while you can use some of the more outlandish looking parts there are also other options. These are the use of rear wings or custom wheels and rims.

You don’t have to go all out and change the entire way your BMW looks. The main fact behind your decision to change the nice conventional look to your status symbol may be the desire to stand out from the rest of the crowd. The best way to achieve this ambition is with the use of BMW body kits.

You can start this metamorphosis by deciding on the first items to change cash advance.  For instance you may like the look of the sky wing door of the Lamborghini range. These car doors open to the sky instead of the usual factory direct sideways. There are other items in BMW body kits that you can add to give your BMW a brand new look. These will include a possible trunk wing “959”. Read the rest of this entry »

Bye to Ford Econoline

Posted by admin on December 23, 2011

Ford is finally putting the Econoline out to pasture. The full-size van has been has been available in one form or another since 1961. Many of these work-horses have come in through our charity junk car program.

The E-series will be replaced by the European-designed Transit van, which will arrive with a global platform in 2013. It will be produced at the Kansas City Assembly Plant. Ford says the Transit will offer improvements in handling, fuel economy and technology.

Ford says the fuel-economy improvement, which will be 25 percent better in the Transit, is a result of the 300 pounds of difference between the two vans.

Judging by the Econolines we have coming to our local salvage yard I can tell you these things really last!
